Harvest Moon for DS

For those of you who answered "What's Harvest Moon?": It's a series of video games for different systems simialiar to My Sims for DS (But in my opinion better).

I've been really wanting to get Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness since I've seen my friends Harvest Moon Cute for DS. She says I should get the Cute edition, but from the research I've done online, it looks like the Island of Happiness version would be better. Would me and her be able to connect if I got IOH instead of Cute? And if you've had the game, then what do you think of it?

Island of Happiness! Its the only DS verson I have but I love it!

I have all the DS games released in North Ameria. IMO, Island of Happiness is currently the best.
