Help I go on to tamatown get passwords but the items they were for aren't in my souvenirs they dont even come but i still get the present but then poof it's gone.

I think that is normal. You don't get to keep the items.

If you get a souvenir, the code will say clearly that it is a souvenir, so probably you just have not found one yet. I have a souvenir but I don't think you can do anything with them except just collect them and look at them.
