As far as I know, you can't connect with anything but another tamagotchi.

A few members have posted threads about experimental IR connection with objects other than another Tama.... a til, a TV remote, etc. - just to see what would happen!

I've also seen posts about experimental IR connection with mirrors - but can't remember if it worked or not. If it did, perhaps the member was just lucky.....

In any case, rico the dark, I don't think it's something to get all worked up about.

Your Tama isn't defective because it won't connect with a mirror!
