His Dark Materials

I read the whole series, and my dad is purchasing Lyra's Oxford tonight. I loved them, The Amber Spyglass made me sob for about an hour on end, though.

I know there has been alot of religeous issues on this book, I was wondering: What are your veiws on that issue? Did it affect why you havent read it/ how it affected you while you read it?

I want to know desperately.
