How can i connect two V2 tamagotchi connections?

plz help me??!! i did everything it said on the manual but i still cant get my 2 tamagotchi connections to connect!? it is so frusterating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It keeps saying fail! someone plz help me on this one! send me a message
