How do you delete items?

I've ended up with more than one of some items (through gifts from the king etc). How do I delete them?

To delete go to the friend (the book symbol) list and go to 'present' >> go to the item you want to get rid of >> press B. It should say 'wrap'. Press 'A' when it says wrap and you will have the trash option.
