you just say no leave the tama to grow and say no to the match maker all 3 times and dont mate but if you dont mate and your old timer dies you will start from the 1st gen again

Yes.
You keep regecting the matchmaker. She will eventually stop when your tama becomes an Oldie. You can check whichc oldie your will turn into on the TamagotchiV4 Connection Chart. Check the key legend to see which oldie your will turn into. But eventually your tama will die when its an oldie. See that bad part is, that your Oldie eventually dies of old age. You can try having your tama go up to age 99. Which will take very good caring.

what ive been hearing,is you have to reject the matchmaker and get your tama to age 16. but if you dont want to go back to generation1,find a friend with an oldie and marry it.when you do this, your tamagotchi's oldie may be oyajitchi.(the bearded dude that loves coffee) i didnt try it, but i assume it works.
