You can feed it a snack whenever you wish

Though, I only feed it snacks when its at normal weight, and needs some happy hearts. After I feed it snacks, I usually play games to work off the weight.

If you feed your Tamagotchi snacks too often, it will turn into a spoilt brat and will sulk when it wants attention, and snacks.
