how old do your tamas have to be to connect?

my tamagotchi v5's are children at the moment.. and when i try to connect them to each other the 'download or reset' thing comes up but i can connect to the internet just fine.. whats going on?

Just replace one of their batteries, or both. :/

Its just a little low battery problem
