how to change name?

I'm babysitting my daughters Tamagotchi Connection for the day while she's at school and the next gen just took off on it's own. When it asked for a name I tried typing something in but ended up with just spaces and the letter A. How can I fix the name... before my daughter gets home from school

Sorry you can't change the name. If you really don't like the name then the only thing you can do is reset it and start again.
