How to keep a tamagotchi alive the longest?!

Twice this year, i had mine dying twice, once on holiday in Scotland and once when i had it taken off me at school and i forgot to pause it.

Let me know your stories about tamagotchis. I'd love to hear about it..

Erm.. my v2 went to gen. 6 and my v3 to gen. 11.. but then my v2 broke and my v3 run out of batteries..

But none have ever died..

Lots of them have died. Oh, this topic attracted me because I thought it'd give me information on how to "Keep a Tamagotchi Alive long". I have I name all of my Tamas, GLUPI. One day, I may name on Tama (lol, it's like you name a cat "Cat")
