Were her rice bowls and friendship bar not empty when you put her to sleep? I've been woken in the middle of the night by a Tamagotchi having a near-death experience. She called for attention with the death god hovering over her. I summoned the ambulance (which took her to the hospital where she was cured.) If I had missed the call, she would have died.
