Souviners, which are the "pictures" you get from the codes at tamatown.com, are completely different from ITEMS, which you can buy using Gotchi points.
Souviners have no actual purpose, and your tamagotchi does not even really realize they are there. They are just there for you to collect, and to mark and remember where you have been on the site.
To view your souviners, click A four times until you get to the games option, then click B. Click A four times again, and you will end up at an option titled Souvenirs. Click B to enter your "museum". If you have visited the site and entered the password for your passport, that should be the first thing you see. Click B on a souvenir to see its name/title, and click A to scroll through your souvenirs.

On the other hand, items can be bought from the store, both in game and online. You already know where the store is on your tamagotchi toy, right? Well if you visit the food court or the mall in Tamatown, you will see objects with a price tag on them. You can also buy those items. These items are NOT souviners, they are just like the ordinary items you can buy from the tama store. Your tama can play with these items, or eat them.
