I'm so confused!

When I try updating an avatar I found, I can't do it. But this is how I did it, and please tell me if I did it wrong:

1.) Found the avatar at a website

2.) Saved it as ******_**** in Desktop

3.) Typed www.google.com at the bottom

4.) Clicked browse

5.) Clicked on the name of the avatar

6.) Clicked Upload

Is that right? Ok, after I clicked upload it said: You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar or personal photo.

But it wasn't a personal photo, it was an animated avatar of an adorable, little ducky looking around! So...WHY can't I upload it? Do I have to clear the old avatar first?

I'll give you diretions.

1. clear your current avvie.

2. save the avvie as a gif thing.

3. choose browse when your in the avvie change.

4.choose your avvie and upload.

That is strange...It didn't work for me either. Maybe you can find another avvie. Or I'll find one for you? What do you like?
