I'm Stumped on Friends!

Please help me! I just got my Tamagotchi Connection (v.2) today, and I really need some help here. How do you make friends? (with the IR connection and all?)

You select the 5th icon, select the version you connect with, and press b at the StandBy screen.

U have to have a another connection tamagotchi or a friend who has one, then u both go to the connect icon and just connect ^^;, make sure to press B a second time when it says stand by i was stupid when I first got one, and was wandering why it kept saying stand by :furawatchi: , oh yea and point the clear red thingys at eachothers tamagotchis
