In NZ it's 13 years, just called years.In Hell, you have to sit there for eight hours a day and listen as adults drone on about boring things. Then, you have to answer questions about the stuff they droned on about. After that, you get sent home with about 15 more pages of things to answer. This cycle repeats for about 12 years which they call "Grades". It gets harder every time. Also, if you don't do well in this system of things, you're not allowed to get a well-paying job.
