tamagotchi caretaker

Kate Berson sat in the shade.
Footballs zoomed around her head and she heard the giggles and chatter from the girls nearby.
"Did you see her?"
"I was like OMG"
"Totally!"
Kate smiled and tunned them out.
Most likely they were talking about her.
She was what was to be consider a loner. A loser , unpopular , geek , nerd. All that.
So what? She always thought but now it was getting to her. She had no friends , no one was willing to be seen with her. No that she couldn't blame them she thought rulefully.
A piece of paper fluttered by , the wind kicking it up.
For some reason unknow to her she reached out and snatched it. Dust whirled arould her and through the shade sunlight illuminated her. Her ruby red hair fanned arould her face. Time seemed to stop.
Then it all was still and Kate tumbled to the ground. The girls laughed.
Kate stared at the paper in her hand:
!FREE TAMAGOTCHI!

Kate was thrilled. Maybe that was why she didn't think how unusal it was for the tama to be free...
Kate had heard all about Tamagotchis. The whole was dying to get one , yet not evan the popular girls had managed to get one.
The next day Kate ran home and punched in the number in her mothers mobile. She wasn't really ment to use it but..
Just then a voice came online; "Hello?" it rasped.
"Hi. Im calling about the free tamagotchi." Kate gabbled her words so eagar to be said the rushed over each other in a wave of excitment.
"KATE!" came angry yell from the doorway. Shoot , Mum.
"Kate Anne Berson just what do you think your doing?" She wrenched the phone from Kates clasped hands and , ignoring Kate's cries of dispair , hit the off button.
Shrieking with rage Kate to her room. She slammed her door and sobbed into the pillow. It wasn't fair.
Her life was awful. Tears streamed down her anguished face as she sighed, "All i ever wanted was a friend.."
