infrared phone! (download id l)

I know to download stuff onto your tamagotchi id l you need a phone that has infrared. But i do not know what kind of phone to get and which one is cheaper. Can soemone tell me which one is the best model.

Ok! thank you for all the information you've given me! Does the phone have to be from japan cause i heard on some websites that it has to be japanese.

It's not necessary to have service on the phone. We've been collecting the Tamagotchi-iD L downloads from tama-id-l.com (the Japanese site) as they become available and re-posting them in the Tamagotchi iD L Downloads topic on Tama-Zone and on https://www.gotchiworld.de (because some downloads are available from tama-id-l.com for a limited time only.) As of today, there are 1022 downloads available. Once you have the files on your PC, you can copy them to your phone (via USB, Bluetooth, or memory card), then beam them from the phone to the Tamagotchi-iD L.

o ok! thanks for the information. So i dont have to switch phones on my plan? im sorry only 13! So the phone does'nt need to be activateded

I use a Palm Treo for beaming download files. It has a SIM but it's not activated.
