Is it true that generations on V4 don't count?

What do you mean by 'don't count'?

You can have a Tamagotchi on G1, 2, 3, 4, etc. But, to call parents with the V4 Cell Phone you need to be on G 2 and your characters needs to be an adult or Old Timer.

If you want to call the Grandparents, then your character must be at least G3. (G = generation)

Is that what you mean by "Does it count?"

Like Entama... In Entama all that counts is the GUTS points. For example, if you have a Mamekotchi? Want a Mimitchi? Raise intelligence GUTS points. Want Meidotchi? Kindness I think. Marotchi? Perhaps style...
