It’s so crazy seeing how me and a bunch of others on here were all kids finding excitement in something, and now we are what? College graduates/students?? Working full time jobs?? And I can’t believe how cringe some of my posts were back then. Still debating if I’ll delete them all, kinda enjoy laughing at them and having them as a reminder to never be like that again haha. To be fair, I forgot how to be like that.
Warning! I talk a lot.
I was 11-12 when I joined here and now I am 22. For those of you from around that time who may still be here, hello! Honestly, I now walk around pretty numb to life now, not finding lasting excitement in things how I want/used to and I lost the ability to have proper hyperfixations or special interests. It sucks because it was all I ever knew. However, some part of me must still be there though I don’t know how to emphasize her, because I still nerd out and pick up a tamagotchi whenever I see it.
I’ve collected quite a few tamagotchis recently, and even found a model of the first one I ever owned and purchased it! It broke back in the day because I used it so much when I was like 6/7. It was a v1 Connection, pink with hearts. It sparked my love for tamagotchis at that age because the feeding animation was so cute on such a tiny toy, and I wanted to own it again ever since it broke.
I am currently running 3 others now: Fairy Pink On, pink Pix, and Niziu Smart. I’m enjoying what I can from them, and indulged quite a bit. I also recently got a nezukotchi, a ciao berry akai, and green heart mesutchi because I love demonslayer and I rly wanted those last two when I was younger and the shells are so pretty.
Maybe there are other’s around my age in a place like this who can relate to the feeling that they should not have a hobby like this that is seemingly meaningless in near adult life, but all my interests are seemingly childish/meaningless and always have been haha o well. Gadgets and pretty things are cool, I aim to start thinking that it’s enough that they bring joy. I’m thinking maybe I should lurk around places like Tamatalk which inspire my “quirky” interests again rather than become a shell of human being by other people’s and neurotypical standards lol. Hi~ if u read this all
