I had the full collection of items from the secret codes, including the costume (which my new Memetchi was wearing). I gave it the stuffed animal to play with, and it turned into a Nyatchi!

Will my tama stay a Nyatchi, or is this only a short-term change? And when I get a new tama, can I get the stuffed animal again, since it disappeared when I used it?

First of all, when your Tama goes to bed it will change into it's normal character. And second of all, You would have to buy the Stuffed Animal when you type the code in the shop again.
