[/b][SIZE=14pt]I bought a lamp in the shop, and whenever I use it the genie appears and my tamagotchi always gets lightning on its head and it emptys all of its happy hearts. Does it ever give points or anything?[/SIZE]

Points and items. The genie is known to strike lightning on your tamagotchi's head. It is like mail- snake = un-happiness and king = Present/gotchi points.

the genie gives you a present, points(always 4000), goes back into the lamp, or gives you a rain cloud at the cost of all your happiness.

oncei bought one for 900 points and i got 6000. this was on v4

yes, it does. Most of the time ive had 1 and it almost always gave me a pressie or a points.
