You need a boy and girl tamagotchi. Its a good idea to buy two tamas so that you can grow them togeather and get them aquanted at a young age. You have to let them become smiles. When they turn adults they will start turning into hearts. Then you got to leave them togeather for exatly 24 hours.

You only need one love potion to make them fall in love. Both must be adults though. They can fall in love as soon as they evolve into adults, but they cannot have babies until at least 24 hours after evolving. DON'T waste your 2nd love potion! After 24 hrs of being an adult, connect them again using the present or visit option and the fireworks will fly!
