sorry kiddos. only algebra people.

mkay, so we're doing arrow notation.

number 5 says:

find the range of each function.

5. G: a -> 4a squared, d={-1, 0, 1}

agh i need help!

i keep getting {-1, 15}.

but that's not the answer, i checked in the back of the dern book!!

help would be greatly appreciated.

mucho thankies :]

well normaly 9th is algebra were i live but im in 8th algebra... sorry i cant help im failing XD

College student here. :lol: If I understood the notation (arrow? do you mean inequalities?), I'd be better able to help you out. Do you mean to say that a is greater than 4a squared? PM me sometime! I'd love to delve back into algebra after years of doing excruciating calculus. :)

*faints* zomg i can't stand math... i'm in 7th grade... my brother would probly be able to help you

I've skipped this grade, but I think the solution is {0,4]

You substitute a by -1, 0 and 1.

4(-1)(-1) = 4 x 1 = 4

4(0)(0) = 0

4·1·1= 4

Unless it is (4a) squared. In which case I think it is:

-4 x -4 = 16

0 x 0 = 0

4 x 4 = 16

{0, 16}

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa...

Math is my best subject, but if someone cam up to me and started talking math to me like that i would slap them XD

I would listen to spiffy, they sound smartical
