Two dull eyes

Stare back at me

A frown

So wide it was sad to see

A wad of mousy hair

Curled around my head

The expression on my face

As if I'm already dead

I fluffed my hair

So nobody'd ask

I rubbed my eyes

Whether I was wearing a mask

I gazed at the mirror

And looked down with a sigh

I forced my lips into a grin

My smile was a lie
