My poem got picked!

[*Summer*]

We had to write poetry in class about something in Australia we love and I picked the beaches. My poem was inspired when I went to the Great Barrier Reef with my Dad and got stung by a jellyfish.

Here it is:

I love Queensland's beaches

A place of majestic waves

Of sprakling spread out beaches

Of lifeguards who are brave

I love the rushing water

I love the summer breeze

I love the early sunrise

And all the tall palm trees.

I didn't think it was that good until... The teachers looked through everyone's books and mine got picked to go in the news letter class news for 6F. Everyone clapped for me and my teacher read it out to the class.

So post your opinion, Do you think it's good?

It's my first try but it's better than any other attempt of mine.

I really tired hard on it but I don't think it's the best... There's plenty of poems that are probably better than that.
