Well, today, when I got up from bed, I went over to my my goldfish's bowl. I saw something floating and when I got a closer look it was my goldfish...I thought it might be sleeping or something but it never slept like that o_O So I picked it up (assuming it was dead) and filled a clear plastic bag with water and put my goldfish there, and I threw it in a nearby lake, I know it's dead but I lurved it so much. I used to bring it to school in water filled bags but I guess that won't happen anymore...This is for you Gee (my fish's name) -----

Does anyone know what might of happened to it?

I'm so sorry. ;)

I know how hard it is to lose a fish- I lost one myself.

It could have died from many things such as over feeding, some sort of disease, or he just died of age.

Just remember the good times you had with him. He had a good life.

Over feeding? I didn't feed him that much.Deasease, umm, I dunno, I dont think so.Age? Probably...
Reading that you had him for 5 years, I do think it was old age.

hm.. i suppose its from old age. but remember that goldfish that you get anywhere arent very healthy to begin with... >.>

my fish i had since i was four... (7 years?) died and i gave him a proper burial, not just a flush down the toilet. ^__^ i think thats good for a fish you've had for a long time.

I would never flush my fish down a toliet! The fish deserves to rest in the lake were we always went, so our memories will replay forever in it's head...

But why now?! Why did he have to die today?! He died the time I needed him most.
Some times we just have to let go.

If we never knew death, we would never appreciate life.

awww,i feel sooo bad,i used to have a fish he was a beta fish his name was blue, because well he was a blue beta(a very sad simple name, and my mom told me we'd NEVER name a pet after it;s color!!!!! :D :D  )anyway, my kittykat ate my fish!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :( ,soooo my mom bought me a DOG because my cat ate my fish!!!!

(i still kinda miss my fish!!!    )

It must have died of old age. It was older than the age of a noramal hamster. I'm sorry he's gone. Just remember all the fun memories you had with him. :)

Ahh...I'm sorry. I lost my stuffed animal cat and I cried. (ok, it's not funny! I loved that stuffed cat!)

it's cute that you named him gee, though.

bamcr.

Oh Penelope

Are you filled with air

Swallowed oxygen

Made you float up?

Is it dropsy?

Will your lungs swell?

It’s depressing me

To see you struggle

Oh Penelope

Are you filled with air

Swallowed oxygen

Makes you float up?

Is it dropsy?

Will your lungs swell?

It’s depressing me

To see you struggle

I’m treading water with my oars

Glass galeons anchored, ocean floors

I’m diving down with all my gear

In search of treasure, para me corazon

Take you to the forest

Let you feel the raindrops falling down

Seeping through your redscales

Eliminate the faucet

Eliminate the need for water

Replace it with a safe shelf

Don’t wanna see you floating upside down

On the top of the bowl when I

Come round to visit you

Don’t wanna see you floating upside down

No girl

Need you there, Need you there, Need you there

Ooh Release that air

(I’m treading water with my oars

Glass galeons anchored, oceans floor

I’m diving down with all my gear

In search of treasure, para mi corazon)

Take you to the forest

Let you feel the raindrops falling down

Seeping through your redscales

Eliminate the faucet

Eliminate the need for water

Replace it with a safe shelf

Here's the lyrics to the song, strongly resembling the situation...
