my tama keeps having music notes on the screen

Don't worry. It's perfectly normal.

All the Tamas have 'random animations' - lots of characters - particularly teens sing & dance, so you will see music notes on the screen.

They usually do this kind of random animation on the hour or half hour (by your Tama's clock).
