Keep them alive longer, make them older, but take it slow (lol, sounds likesome relationship talk) and just ease yourslef into it. It's what I'm starting to do.
Just think of it as a fun game at first, and your love will slowly start to grow on them if you play with them a lot.
And anyways, I've seen some of your other posts, and it seems like you're becoming a good tama parent
