My tamagotchi V4.5 and V3 won't connect!

They won't connect at all! I tried and they don't connect. The V3 is still a baby.

Did you make sure you hit "others" on both of them? If so, make sure you are also hitting the B button on one of your tamas when the both say "standby".

Right. Also, make sure the tamagotchis are close, like 2 centimeters apart, but not so close that they are touching.

Also, on both tamagotchis, make sure you select "other" under connection.
