i went to tama town and got a graduation gown and cap. i put in the passwords but they aren't in my items. where would they be?

The cap and gown are in your "souveneirs" in the same menu as "items". Just keep scrolling and you will find it. then you select souveneirs and scroll down them until you find the cap and gown. There are 32 different souveneirs.

how do you get the cap and gown out of the souveneirs? because i still haven't graduated school yet. how do you graduate school?

You cant get them out of souvineirs- it's like collectibles, they just stay there.
