New addition to my collection: Tamagotchi Friends!

Still no luck with the weather over on Clark's end. Too bad because this means that he can't go outside to play games and earn money for items.

The weather continues to be nice outside Lois' house. She took this opportunity to plant a Hapihapi seed. I guess one person having all happy signs (and therefore access to Gotchi King's castle) is better than none. It's still going to take a couple more days for the Hapihapi tree to produce fruit though.

Lois and Clark were still able to enjoy time together, playing connection games and giving each other gifts (poo doesn't count :p ).

In other exciting news, I made a Toys R Us run today and picked up two of my favorite designs of the Tamagotchi Friends, though I was very tempted to clear out their stock completely!

2014-08-11103744.jpg

I'm so excited to have these as part of my collection! I'm probably going to wait to run these closer to the weekend when I have more time. I think I'd like to do a full generation of my +C's and either tab them both up or just keep them running in the background, maybe log one of them just to mix things up a bit. I probably can't do both +C's and both TF at the same time.

Thanks for stopping by! More updates to come.

Clark remained stuck inside all day because of the weather, but since Lois was able to go outside, she played games enough to make more purchases at TamaTama Market and so she had more tickets to redeem. She finally got the rainbow watering can and after what felt like a million tries, a rainbow appeared outside on a day with puffy, white clouds.

Another happy sign down, one more to go! I could use a cheat to make the Hapihapi tree grow faster, but I'd rather not for now. I'm hoping the weather will remain nice for Lois and brighten up for Clark so we can finally get their trees to produce fruit!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Greetings, fellow TamaTalkers! I'm back with another update on Lois and Clark.

So I forgot to post this on the 11th, but this should have been an indication of what was to come. Though the day started out clear in the morning, a light rain settled in for the rest of the day.

2014-08-11183242.jpg

However, by the next morning...

2014-08-12072118.jpg
2014-08-12072209.jpg

Man, at this rate, Lois and Clark are going to be Oldies by the time a Hapihapi tree blooms!

This time, Clark experienced awesome weather so he took this opportunity to plant another Hapihapi seed...

2014-08-12072931.jpg
2014-08-12072939.jpg

...and to make more trips to the prize redemption center to try for that rainbow watering can.

2014-08-12072801.jpg
2014-08-12073106.jpg

No such luck on this day. He kept getting duplicate prizes. I called it quits after a while because I needed to get to sleep for my shift that following night. Never fear! It didn't take long before Clark tried again.

That's all for the 12th. More updates to come soon!

August 13, 2014

Good weather for both today so Clark's tree sprouted even more...

...and Lois tried again with a new Hapihapi seed.

Clark tried again with the prize redemption center and hit the jackpot this time around! He will try the rainbow watering can when it's not so cloudy.

2014-08-13091447.jpg

Found this at a nearby TRU on my way to work. I was again tempted to just buy them all. :D I was happy to just look. It's nice to see Tamagotchis out in stores.

2014-08-13171458.jpg

I know I mentioned that I would like to start my Tamagotchi Friends this weekend when I have more time but I actually work all weekend so it'll have to wait. I'm having a lot of fun with my +Cs anyway.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading!

August 14, 2014

Lois was just not having any luck with the weather. Her Hapihapi tree blew away again as another gale hit. No trips outside for her! Meanwhile, Clark's Hapihapi tree continued to bloom.

2002-12-08120000-30.jpg
2014-08-14075526.jpg

Last time, Clark had redeemed a prize ticket for the rainbow watering can but the weather was too cloudy for him to use it. Later on this day, the weather was perfect enough to try for another happy item.

2014-08-14121305.jpg
2014-08-14121545.jpg

This means that Clark is all caught up with Lois in terms of happy items - they both just need to eat a candy heart from the Hapihapi tree.

Later on in the day, the weather turned more wet and gray for Clark. I was very tempted to use the time cheat to just make the tree grow completely already but decided against it. It's more fun doing it the right way. Clark's a little more nervous about the whole thing though...

2014-08-14161152.jpg

Lois took an early lead in earning her happy items but for the past few days, has not been successful in growing a Hapihapi tree due to weather. Clark only just caught up to Lois but will bad weather be an obstacle for him as well? Who do you think will reach the Gotchi King's castle first? Stay tuned...

August 15, 2014

Poor Lois' Hapihapi tree. :p

2014-08-15071441.jpg

Well, maybe you guessed it, but Clark was first to earn all happy signs and therefore gain access to the Gotchi King's castle! His Hapihapi tree survived the weather and bloomed to fullness. He was able to eat the candy heart from the tree and see Hapihapitchi herself.

Without much further ado, Clark hopped on the Gotchi-copter (for lack of better name :D ) and off he went to the Gotchi King's castle to meet the Gotchi King and play the "catch the coin" game for even more Gotchi Points. Catch all 50 coins to earn a max of 500 Gotchi Points!

Hopefully Lois will get to go outside soon too. She's excited to visit the Gotchi King and possibly purchase/use her character-specific item (3-D glasses) too (if she doesn't evolve into an Oldie first!)

More to come soon. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Not many pictures of Lois and Clark these past few days, since I'm just waiting for Lois to earn her last happy sign and I was busy with work this past weekend. The weather finally brightened up for both - Lois planted another Hapihapi tree.

Not sure why I didn't use the 3D glasses with Lois (maybe I decided to just plant the tree and get to sleep for my shifts) but she and Clark had evolved into Oldies by the next time I took pictures of them so I didn't get a chance to use them.

2014-08-18105343.jpg

I figured I may as well wait for Lois to get all her happy items before I connect them again (because I know they're going to get married once they're connected and I don't want that to happen yet).

In purchasing news, I finally received another special Asian design P1, the Philippines design. Just look at all those cows!

2014-08-18213110.jpg

Thanks for stopping by, dear readers! I will update again soon.

August 19-24, 2014

Hi, all! Sorry about the lack of updates. Life has been super busy and so I've had to put aside my +Cs at times. I've still been running them in the background, taking pictures here and there, and I've also still been making purchases. :D I've mentioned this before but my collection picture and video are over 2 years old and I'd like to have an updated picture and video up in the near future. I'm hoping to put something together by the end of the year. Anyway, here's what's been going on with Lois and Clark lately.

Lois finally saw her Hapihapi tree bloom and so she enjoyed a candy heart and got her last happy sign.

20140820_080945.jpg
20140820_080950.jpg

A visit to Gotchi King's castle followed shortly afterward, where she got to play the coin catch game and earn more Gotchi Points.

20140820_081127.jpg
20140820_081432.jpg

Sadly, on a day when I was particularly busy, Lois decided to return back to Tamagotchi Planet. :(

2014-08-25104946.jpg

I managed to save Clark though.

After this, I took out the batteries from my white EXILE +C for now. I wanted to re-hatch a Lois 2.0 but I ended up getting a boy and I didn't feel like completely resetting. All the items and Gotchi Points would reset and life is a little too hectic at the moment for me to start all over.

Ah, poor Clark, all by his lonesome. Presently, the weather outside is terrible, otherwise I would have taken him to the matchmaker. That will have to wait. In the meantime, I'll have him running in the background. Perhaps I'll think about starting up my Tamagotchi Friends.

That's all for now! More updates to come.

August 25, 2014

Well, as I mentioned in my last entry, Clark couldn't go anywhere because of the weather outside so he remained inside and took it easy. He hit the sack early and is sleeping well, despite the thunder and lightning. Maybe he can visit the matchmaker tomorrow, weather permitting.

20140825_203708.jpg

I decided to start up both my Tamagotchi Friends today, since I have some days off to enjoy them.

DSCN1041.jpg

I go in with an open mind and heart. On the whole, I was grateful for another opportunity to go out into stores and buy a Tamagotchi without having to wait for it to be shipped from a place far away. No matter what happens, I am happy to introduce these two as the newest members of my virtual pet collection.

The Tamagotchi Friends has a very Tama-Go feel to it. Admittedly, I didn't spend too much time playing with the TMGO but it was enough to where I had a pretty good handle on it.

So I placed new batteries in each unit (different way to put in batteries...interesting...more difficult, actually) and started them both up. As expected, the sound quality took me by surprise, and not necessarily in a good way. However, I looked past that because game play was what I was most interested in learning about.

Starting off, one may choose which egg to hatch: heart egg, spotted egg, and striped egg. On my stars TF, I chose the heart egg, which later hatched a boy, and on my blue gem TF, I chose the spotted egg, which hatched a girl. So far so good for marriage purposes.

DSCN1042.jpg

DSCN1046.jpg
DSCN1049.jpg

The graphics are alright. Definitely more difficult to photograph than the color Tamagotchis but I can work with it. After adjusting the contrast, I can see things a little better. The TF features the same 4-scale black and white screen that the TMGO has.

DSCN1053.jpg
DSCN1058.jpg

The babies aren't too needy during this stage. It's the standard 1-hour baby stage before they evolve into toddlers. The boy evolved into Turtletchi and the girl evolved into Petithanatchi.

DSCN1074.jpg
DSCN1071.jpg

I do like it that the P's characters are featured on the TF.

I tried the bump feature also. Definitely interesting. Looks like one of the main objectives of the game play of the TF is to collect jewelry to unlock more games and such. One can do that either by purchasing the jewelry through the store or through bumping and thereby earning the jewelry pieces. There's a limit of 5 bumps per day.

DSCN1078.jpg

Not sure how I feel about the lack of clothes, accessories, items, and other things that were featured on previous Tamagotchi versions. On the one hand, I find it refreshing because with my schedule, I usually don't have time to collect and use the multitude of items available. On the other hand, I'm a little disappointed that these features aren't available in general. So in sum, I guess I could say that I don't mind either way, that I'm indifferent? In any case, I'm going to keep an open mind, as I've mentioned before. It's always exciting to try out a new Tamagotchi. :)

I don't know how long I'll log my TF but I'll just go with the flow for now. Hope you'll continue to follow along with me. More updates to come!

August 26, 2014

Greetings, dear readers! Hope you all have been doing well. :)

TMGC+C

The weather was beautiful and bright, so Clark took this opportunity to head on over to the matchmaker. You're never too old to find love! There was Lois 2.0 waiting for him. Don't they make a cute couple? They had a baby boy, who will bypass the toddler and teen stages altogether (this is what happens when two Oldies get married) and evolve into Oyajitchi. More on that later.

DSCN1094.jpg
DSCN1103.jpg

Since it's a clear day, Baby Boy wasted no time in getting all the happy signs to fill up the meter.

He also planted a tree out in the garden.

TMGC+C

The baby boy evolved into an adult, Oyajitchi, after an hour of care, as predicted.

DSCN1129.jpg

He visited TamaTama Market to buy some more items, such as omurice (reminds me of Rooftop Price...cookies for you if you know what I mean! :D ), a meal item that fills 2 hungry bowls instead of 1, and a yellow transit ticket so my character can travel to different locations.

DSCN1130.jpg

DSCN1133.jpg
DSCN1131.jpg

Oyajitchi can't use the omurice right now because all the hunger bowls are filled. Guess that leaves the yellow transit ticket. Where will he go?

First stop, the amusement park, where he went on a ride that made him dizzy!

DSCN1136.jpg
DSCN1137.jpg

The yellow transit ticket also opens up another location, TamaDepa! Presently, Oyajitchi does not have enough Gotchi Points to purchase the many expensive items there, but maybe next time. If it's a clear night tonight, Oyajitchi can try for his final happy item, the shooting star, and thus be able to visit the Gotchi King for more Gotchi Points.

TMGC+C

Oyajitchi gets an early start to the day and prepares for a visit to the matchmaker. However, the weather prevented him from making a trip to Tama Town. There goes his tree too. Next chance I get, I'm going to purchase the tree growth serum from Tama Depa. Gotta get more items from those trees!

20140827_082927.jpg
20140827_083058.jpg

Nothing much else going on with him for the rest of the day. Besides, I had another shift this night so I was asleep for the rest of the day until I went to work.

Tamagotchi Friends

More bumping for Cosmotchi and Neotchi. The jackpot occurrence was new! Each character earned Gotchi Points rather than jewelry. Nice to mix it up every once in a while.

20140827_134933.jpg
20140827_154446.jpg

Later on, they evolved into adults: the boy into Knighttchi, and the girl into Pianitchi.

20140827_155726.jpg
20140827_155805.jpg

Also, I came home to this the next morning after my shift: a PC pack V4.5 and a peacock V4.5. Didn't have this version for my collection yet and they were good deals. Slowly filling in the gaps. :)

DSCN1156.jpg

Thanks for stopping by! More to come soon.

Hi, all! I know I haven't logged in a while. I've been running my two TFs and my +C in the background while working. Unfortunately, life and work became pretty hectic, as usual, and eventually, both my TFs left me (although my blue gem TF, Pianitchi, stuck around long after Knightchi left...pretty resilient, that girl). I've got to admit though, I lost interest somewhere in the middle there. Sorry, TF! I gave it a shot but it just doesn't do much for me. Maybe I'll try again someday, but for now, I'll just leave you with the pictures I did take over the last week or so.

They're pictures of my +C. Most of the TF pictures I took were of the same thing so I just decided not to post them again.

Oyajitchi married Meidotchi and they had a baby girl, who eventually evolved into Sakuramotchi. Then my batteries in my +C ran out and so for the past few days, my +C's been effectively on pause.

More to come later. Thanks for reading!

Hi, TamaTalkers! I wanted a Tama break from cooking and errands on my day off so here I am!

Well, Sakuramotchi enjoyed her day. I helped her plant a new tree to get more free items. She used the tree-growing serum to make it grow faster. Lo and behold, an item we don't yet have - bows!

That's all that's going on with my +C for now.

Mail call! Just received this V3. I love this design!

That's all for today. I work the next couple of nights but I'll have my +C running in the background and will take pictures when I can for my next updates. See you soon!

Hello, fellow TamaTalkers, and happy autumn! My updates seem to be coming very sporadically, which makes me kind of sad, but my schedule has been pretty hectic (what's new? :p ) and so priorities need to be made. This past week was annual competencies (exams, if you will) at the hospital so I was hitting the books again to review for skills demonstrations. I passed with flying colors, of course. :D Work has been humming along quite steadily; we didn't see the typical summer slump with our census and I suspect it had to do with the hotter/drier weather than usual, which tends to aggravate most heart and lung conditions. The cooler weather and shorter days are definitely a welcome sight. It's always fun coming back here to catch up with you all, especially after long work weeks. Of course, I'm excited along with everyone else about the 4U release and so I figured I'd try and ease back into logging mode again in preparation for that. :)

For brevity's sake, I'm going to try and keep these updates short and sweet, just because I haven't updated in almost a couple of weeks now and I've got a bunch of pictures all over the place that, for some reason, don't have time stamps on them. Yikes! I'll do my best to remember what happened.

Well, with my patchy care in between work, it wasn't a surprise that Chamametchi evolved into Marotchi, the bad care character among the odd-generation female characters. The stormy weather prevented her from visiting the matchmaker as planned but she eventually made it there, and married Shimashimatchi. They had a baby girl, who evolved into the toddler, Memepetchi.

20140915_072649.jpg
20140915_072724.jpg
20111231_161226.jpg

I thought I was on the right track when she later evolved into the good care teen, Chamametchi but I eventually got Makiko, the bad care character among the even-generation female characters. :p Better luck next time, I suppose. This is what I get for not pausing my Tamagotchis while I'm working.

20120103_032547.jpg
20120103_033208.jpg

When the time came, Makiko went to the matchmaker and married Kuromametchi. They had a baby girl, who evolved into Sakuramotchi, since we're on the odd generation now. I currently have Ichigotchi on my +C. I haven't a clue about what adult I'll get because I've lost track of care misses! We'll see who she evolves into soon enough.

In other news, I received, on September 13 (4 days after the package was posted...I love EMS shipping), my big batch of items from Japan that I mentioned. I'm happy to introduce the newest members of my virtual pet collection:

20140913_115606.jpg

From left to right -

Top row: a Tamagotchi-themed box for my loose Tamagotchis, another Store Deka for my collection, My Sapling by Sega, two Chibis (I'll probably just keep the white one)

Middle row: a milk tea-styled Akai, another blue TMGC+C (a backup in case my current one stops working...I love it that much :D ), another EXILE TMGC+C (the more elusive red version) to join my white one, a milky blue/pink iD, a Ciao Uratama, the Swimming Entama

Bottom row: Tama Suku (probably won't keep this one), Watermelon Entama with its accessories, and a Famitama

Last, but not least, I received another present that day: my Hello Kitty pedometer

20140913_115629.jpg

Also, I finally upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S5! Just in time for the 4U release. :) My old phone was NFC-equipped but it was on its last leg.

Thanks for stopping by, all you awesome people! See you next time!

Hi, all! I'm back for another (seems like now) weekly update. I'm hoping to provide more frequent updates, especially now that my 4U items are coming in the mail!

Before going any further, I'd like to give a warm shout-out to Carleesi, who has always been a kind and enthusiastic supporter (not to mention, a great crocheter...seriously, check out her work in her signature! I've bought from her on a couple of occasions and have always been satisfied with our transactions). I hope you continue to enjoy reading. :)

We were with Ichigotchi where we last left off. The weather had been stormy lately, so she couldn't go outside to play or go to the store. She eventually evolved into Marotchi, again (the trend of bad care characters continues...sorry, guys).

After this, I was a little lax on pictures due to work and other things but the little girl evolved into the toddler, Memepetchi (since we were on the even generation). Then came Ichogotchi because I had care misses...then came Makiko (I promise I'll do better next time! :p ). The weather finally brightened up during the past few days so I took the opportunity to fill up the happy bar completely and make the trip to Gotchi King's castle to earn some extra Gotchi Points.

I'll stop here for now because I've got to hit the sack soon in preparation for my shift tonight.

I work the next couple of days but I'll be checking in when I can. You'll definitely hear it from me when all my 4U swag comes in the mail. :) It's all just sitting in a facility a mere 3 hours away from me! I'm anticipating the big arrival to be either while I'm at work on Thursday (which would actually be fine because they'll leave that blasted "We missed you!" slip and I can go pick it up on my day off this Friday) or on Friday, my day off. I'll be logging my two 4Us as soon as I am able!

I'm also thinking of hosting a Halloween hatch soon when it gets closer to Halloween. We'll see!

Also, I got this in the mail a few days ago. I'm interested in trying out the Aquapalz/Anipalz line, just because I've heard a lot of good things about a lot of the pets. First one I got is the tropical fish.

Thanks for checking in! Until next time!

Hi, all! It's been a really busy weekend and I'm gearing up to work again during the beginning of this week. I won't be able to properly make updates again until at least Thursday evening so I thought I'd pop in before I hit the sack to prepare for my shift tonight with a real quick update on what's been going on.

On my +C, we left off with Makiko. She went to the matchmaker and married Mametchi. They had a baby girl.

For a while, I was able to keep up pretty well with care and whatnot (I got Sakuramotchi for the toddler stage, and Chamametchi for the teen stage), but I must have gotten more care misses than I expected because I ended up with Marotchi again!

After this, I decided I'm either going to run my +C in the background or tab it up because I wanted to start up my 4Us, and there's no way I can handle 3 with my schedule!

Before I move along, I want to share that these came in the mail a little while back:

My package from HLJ with my 4U swag actually arrived to my home on October 2 (a mere 4 days after it was shipped) but as expected, I missed it because I was working. So on my day off this past Friday, after an unusually long 18-hour (usual is 12 hours) shift, I picked up the package from the post office but wasn't able to start up my 4Us until Saturday (needed to catch up on sleep!).

Even then, because of how busy I was this weekend, I wasn't able to fully explore the functions of the 4U, only taking pictures and watching insight videos when I could, mostly on the go. In short and in the interest of time, I would like to conclude with simply introducing the newest additions to my virtual pet family, and this Thursday (at the very earliest), I'll post more pictures/videos, and experiment with the NFC connection using my Samsung Galaxy S5.

Since I was on the go, I had them tucked safely in the crochet covers Carleesi made me. Gotta protect my investments! :)
