my dad found out he had a counterfeited 5 dollar bill today

Fake. Somebody put it into a photocopier. But it has UV ink and copiers can't copy UV ink. FC, did your dad get in trouble or anything?What does counterfeited mean?
I don't think it would work if they did because it wouldn't...well, look right with the foily bit and stuff. I doubt your dad will get in trouble, Firecracker because he just found it.That's interesting..just hope that the person who counterfeited the money isn't using it to buy stuff..
Well if the cashier notices it's a fake then you might get into trouble. But sometimes I give them folded up pound notes (I'm British) and they just put them in without checking them.Hopefully if the person IS using it, the cashier will look closely at the bill.
You won't get in trouble if you don't drop it out of your pocket [especially with police around] or spend it.
