P2 plays like P1?

I started my greeen and yellow p2 but it hatched a black p1 baby!the game was the looking game and it didnt have p2 food!i got it off ebay and has a swirly screen could the seller had messed eith it or someon eboefore them???It was bought over a year ago though...

Hmm.. Swirly background = Gen2 Gen1 is a checkerboard background.

back and fourth game = Gen1. (Gen2 has the numbers game.)

How interesting!

Was it the solid lightish green with yellow border? That was the only color packaged and came as both versions. So I could see a production mistake.

Did it come in it's 'original' packaging?
