You can get pets by getting a pure family.

okay gotta pure family.. now how do i get a pet? i only see it's picture..

Once you get a pure family, you automatically get the pet. However, it's usually not on the screen. It appears only during certain animations.

Then scroll down and click on where it says 'Souvenirs' and then you will see something called 'the lucky cat'. Then you put the code into your tama. Hope I helped!
