If you log in with another character in Music City when you're logged in one character already, that another character follows you.

That's why there's "pet characters"

Oh I get it now. That never happened to me...

It's basically your other self. You can log in 3 difference codes, it can be of the different character, but needs to be different codes. And each code you enter will add a pet behind you. The maximum you can have is 2 more people following behind you. You can have none, or one, or two, but not more than that. IT's kinda cool.
