Is it bad for me to watch PG-13 movies? Because a lot of times my older-friends always tell me not-to-tell our parents if we watch a movie that's PG-13. Is it bad? ;)

Well, I think it depends if your parents let you watch PG-13 movies. I personally don't go for PG-13 movies, 'cause I despise scary movies. ;) (I don't hate Harry Potter though, I don't know why. xD The Harry Potter movies are actually quite good) I'm pretty sure my parents won't mind me watching PG-13 movies, but I don't go for them. That's just me though. <_<

If your parents said that you can't watch them, then yes, it is bad, because you are disobeying them. If they didn't say you can't watch them, then no, it is not bad.

They let me watch them...

Well, sometimes they let me watch PG-13 movies. But not like the Grudge 2. If anyone has seen them please PM me!!

Y'know..

I watched PG-13 movies as a kid. I watched R rate dmovies as a kid. As long as I was mature enough to handle them. When I was 8, my mom took me to see a comedy movie called "The Naked Gun". It's not what you think. It's a comedy movie. Info about it.

I watched some R rate dmovies like Totall Recall, Platoon and Blazing Saddles when I was younger as well.

No. The ratings pretty much mean nothing. :( ;; I mean, honestly, I watched my first R rated movie with my parents sitting right there at four or five, and I wasn't scarred or anything. I actually enjoyed it. If you stay with only G and PG, your going to be watching "Fluffy bunny goes to fun town" for a long time.

Oh lawlz.. I know someone who refuses to watch PG-13 and R rated movies as is.

Well, then I don't see the issue. If your parents let you watch them, what is wrong with telling them you saw one or not telling them you saw one? It's like telling them everytime you eat a cookie, even if they allow you to eat cookies. It's not bad to tell them, but you don't need to.

depends on the movie. legally blonde for example, it has a few cuss words here and there but it's not a bad movie. i was 8 when i saw it for the first time. who gives! you might wanna ask your parents about it. ask about certain movies before you watch them

It's okay if your parents let you... my parents don't care... at 9 I was watching PG-13 movies, and now I can watch anything I want. (Except "Adult" movies, but only perverts watch that filth, LOL)

=]

Do you mean R rated ones?

About 99% of them are not filth, and are incredible works of art. Except for the ones that suck. xD

No, like, pornos, lol.

If you parents say yu can watch them,go ahead! Well,it might depend on what it was PG-13 for. Like,I begged my parents to get me the movie "Driving Lessons",and there was lots of 'f' words and 's' words AND it had well, some "sexual conetent" *shivers* now I can't really watch it. So if your parents don't really make a big deal about that stuff or violence,go ahead and watch them! (of course, you're taking advice from Miss Break-every-rule)

I've been watching the highest rated movies since I was little. I've been watching 13+ movies, nearly since I was born [Literally! :) ]. My parents, my brother and me would sometimes go on a Saturday night and take it as our movie night. We still do, sometimes!. That's my story on watching PG-13 movies.
