Kristie took a deep breath and sighed. The air was chilly, and small clouds formed with her every breath. She dug her hands deeper into her hoodie pocket, and smiled as she felt the smooth plastic of her tamagotchi, Chu. She pulled him out with one hand, and checked his status, rather surprised that his hunger meter was empty and she hadn't heard his call. She absentmindedly fed her onionotchi his usual meal. She was excited, today would be the day Chu evolved into his adult form. He was Kristie's first generation, on her first ever tamagotchi, and she couldn't wait to see it brush it's teeth, and take a bath, and all the other things the people at tamatalk said they do when they're adults. But especially breeding it with her twin sister Kim's tamagotchi, Chi. She put Chu back in her hoodie pocket and shivered, her mind wandering back to when she bought him...
She had wanted a tamagotchi very badly, her friends seemed to be having so much fun with them! But all of the colors in the stores were very plain, and she only had enough money to get one, so she decided to use it wisely. She searched and searched online, until she found one that was seemingly perfect, on eBay. The only problem was... it was in a two pack, and the seller wanted you to buy two or nothing. Kristie had never seemed colors like these though, one was a translucent black, with no 'Tamagotchi Connection' logo, but on the top right a red heart and a japanese symbol she didn't know, with red buttons. The other one was the same, except that instead of being mainly black, it was pink. After much begging and pleading, she convinced her twin sister Kim to buy the other half, but once Kim got hers she liked it as much as Kristie. It ended up she got the black one, and Kim got the pink one.
It was then when they stumbled onto tamatalk, an online forum for tamagotchi lovers. They had both made friends and learned alot more about the tamagotchis there...
A strange sounding beep from her hoodie pocket snapped her back to reality. She quickly pulled out Chu... Could it be...? Yes! Chu was changing!...
