I think it's more of a fan made game, maybe for a ROM or something.

I havent heard anything in the way of a gold and silver remake...i'll keep an eye out next time i get Official Nintendo Magazine or Ngamer

Oh I know. I never had the trading card game for the gameboy, but I had it on an emulator years ago. It'd be nice to see a new, updated one.
