My mothra tama died a while ago and I haven't restarted it in about a week. Now there is some funky japanese on the screen where the cross was before and it won't reset or rehatch with the A and C buttons. I even tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. What gives?!

Does the writing look like that in the box in the upper right corner of >this page<. If so, then yes, the batteries are low, and need to be replaced.
If the writing on your Mothra's screen looks different from that, take a picture of the Japanese writing, post it on Photobucket, and provide a link, I can try to figure out what it says.
