Problems with putting in passwords.

Hi all! I'm a new tamagotchi owner and I've been having trouble with getting the passwords to work on my tamagotchi. The codes that I've gotten from Tamatown doesn't seem to work. Everytime I try to put in a password it gives me an 'error'sign after. I have ver.3 Can somebody help me? Thank you!

did you put in the exact user name from your tamagotchi on to the screen!
