Question about CD and producer level

I just got my tama v6 yesterday and Im very confused. I have a few level 6 super silver CD's but no matter how many games I play (I'm very good at Gotchidoku and get 300points, 40 producer and 75cd exp each game) yet no matter how much I play I can't get my CD past super silver. Can you just play an immense amount of games to level up to gold? Or do you need to enter contests etc?

Also What does your producer level even do? Does it make a differance?

It is very hard to level up to 5th ultimate silver. You have to earn 10,000 CD experience points to level up from 6th to 5th. It is best to enter concerts and get in the top 100 twice in a row.

Your producer level is, well... I guess a thing that lets people know how good you are at games or, well... You get the point.
