Question about music genre in v6

Does the music genre (classical, etc.) that the tamagotchi has matter at all? And what causes it to change?

Mine has changed between asian, r&b, and classical so far, and I'm a little confused.

I only have one instrument and 2 toys, if that has anything to do with it, I don't know..

I just bought this thing today and am really surprised with how different and complex it is.

Instruments cause it to change. Also, how much you play the instrument. It matters if you want to get specific awards, otherwise, no.

No one realy knows exactly what causes the changes.

Instruments have an affect on genre.People have said that when their tamagotchi plays with a toy the genre has changed.
