The first generation will always be blended.

The second and later generations can be Kuchipa, Mame, Meme, etc. This is based on which characters the parents are, and the bonding levels they had at the time they married. There is more about pure-bred families in this topic: Family, how to get a non-mixed family?

Now, having said all that, your current family, no matter what it is, can change after they become adults if you give them bad care. If they go hungry too long, are over-fed to often, or are unhappy too much, they can become one of the bad-care families, which are respectively: petite, large, and ninja.
