This is about "beliefs"
memetchifan1996 obviously believes in the Rapture and that it's near.
TheRollingtonExpress obviously doesn't believe in the Rapture, therefore is not interested if it is near or not.

It seems that the "very near" reference from memetchifan1996 might refer to Radio Evangelist Harold Camping who predicted Sept 27, 1994 for the Rapture... and has now revised his calculations to predict May 21, 2011...
As far as I know, it's almost impossible to predict when the Rapture will occur (for those who believe in it of course)... and the fastest way to discredit the faith is to set a date and watch it pass by without any event occuring.
Nevertheless, everyone is entitled to express their opinion
(... but if you express it on TamaTalk make sure you keep it within the site rules - friendly and respectful, etc. etc.)
Seeing as we already have two active topics that allow members to discuss Religion and Beliefs on this forum, I am going to close this one and ask anyone who wants a friendly and respectful religious discussion to use the existing threads:
