Reset Glitch

My V4.5 tama died recently so I reset it with the button on the back. Afterwards I selected download to see if he would still be there, he wasn't so I just did the A and C button combination. A new egg appeared, and when it hatched the name from my previous tama was still there, I thought everything was completely erased, but I still have my money and my family history. But it says Generation 1, it should be Generation 4, my items are also all gone, along with my souvenirs.

Is this normal?

Yup, it is completely normal.

You lose half of your money,

You loose all of your items,

And when your tama dies, its name will still be there.
