The color-screen Tamagotchi was released in Japan on November 22, 2008.
It's called the Tamagotchi Plus Color, or TMGC+C for short.
Bandai has already said (several times) that they don't plan to release it outside of Japan.
Price in shops in Japan is 5040 yen (about $50 US.)
They are available from YesAsia.com and from various sellers on ebay. Expect to pay close to $100 US, including shipping.
