when you enter the secret codes for your tama, you will get a free sample of 4 out of 5 items. when you enter the 5th code, you will get the 6th secret item, the rare costume. what that means is, whatever code you put in last, you will not get a free sample of. so if you make sure to enter the code for hair gel(400p) last, instead of say, the love potion, actually honey,(3000p) then you can still BUY the hair gel for 400p. also, i think you can get the free samples every time your tama has a new baby and the egg hatches. good tip for saving gotchi points
