I followed my parents outside. I didn’t know why we were going out there. Then I saw her. She was a black Quarter horse. “She’s beautiful” I said. “What’s her name”? “Blackbolt” my dad replied. “Well do you want to ride her” asked my mum. “Yeah” I said causally trying to hold my excitement. We gave her a quick brush and saddled her up
I Nudged Blackbolt into a jog “Nice western jog” I said aloud. I ten asked her to lope
“I she western trained” I asked. “Yes” replied my dad. I wanted to see how fast she was so I asked her gallop. My she was fast. “I might win the barrels with this girl” I said pulling her back to a walk.
I unsaddled her in her stable the sat down. I stared to cry. I missed my brother. “why did he have to move out” I said to Blackbolt in tears. Mum walked in then she knew exactly why I was upset. “He might not like it for all we know” she said before I fell asleep.
