When I hold my V1 up to my ear it make a faint beeping sound

It's normal. Some people claim it's the Tamagotchi's "heart beat".

some of mine also do that, a V2 I have is pretty "loud" too (I mean if it's night and the city's already silent I can hear it not only when I hold it up to my ear, but also when my ear is like 1-1,5 metres far from it O_O ), but some have absolutely no sound, or at least I could not hear it even when I listened close. does someone know what makes the difference?

Both my v2 and my 2 v3's does that too. at first i thought it was strange too, since v4,v4.5, and higher versions dosen't. But all v2's and v3's i know does that, even the new ones, so don't worry about it

Yup, same thing with me.

From past experiance with other tama's, it simply is "the tama's little heartbeat."

I find that adorable.

my v 4 did that after i put it in the washer OOPS lol it scared me to deah and i thought it was gonna blow up so u put it in an old barn until it stoped the noise was looooud
